Donnie here, and in this video I want to go over why automation is making recruiters more human, not less.
So I think there’s a common myth out there about automation.
It’s probably because of what you think automation is, and automation obviously can go across the board.
There’s a lot of things that can be automated.
But I’m not talking about machine learning, necessarily. I’m not talking about artificial intelligence.
I’m not talking about some really cool algorithm that’s gonna spit out your ideal candidate.
I really don’t think that that’s the best way to run a recruitment business necessarily.
But when I’m talking about automation, I’m talking about tools that are gonna make you more productive in your business.
And the ultimate problem that automation solves is it saves you time. And so what do I do with this time now that I have more?
Well, the most valuable thing you can be spending your time on is creating relationships with your ideal clients and candidates so that you are a huge value and a huge asset to these individuals.
Oftentimes, we don’t have enough time to spend really seeing what the client’s, candidate’s needs and wants really are because we’re in such a hustle to get to the next one and to prospect and to really hit all these things that we have to get done in our day.
So when we really leverage the automation, it’s gonna create more time for us to focus on building relationships, and we all know that’s what this industry is all about.
The second thing it’s gonna allow us to do or it’s gonna deliver for us if done right is it’s gonna create more opportunities, right?
Oftentimes, when I speak with recruiters, their biggest challenge is managing their work flow of clients and candidates. And a common response I get is, hey man, I’m really strong when I get on the phone and in front of somebody, I just want more opportunities to do that.
So option A is to cold-call all day long. Option B is to leverage automation and have a strategic marketing plan to engage with your ideal clients and candidates, so that we can ultimately leverage that time for our benefit in our business and leverage these new opportunities that are created for us, rather than us always having to be on the phone to create these opportunities, right?
So we know that it’s gonna be able to create more opportunities. We know that we’re gonna be able to develop our relationships more effectively.
And the last thing that you certainly shouldn’t overlook is it’s gonna allow you to be more creative.
Look, when you don’t have to worry about some of these mundane tasks, then you can go out and you can deliver the value that your market really wants from you.
You will have more time to market your business.
You’ll have more time to work on your business instead of in your business.
And that’s really the keys to being able to scale your business is putting systems and processes in place that allow for freedom, that allow you to really make an impact in your market.
And that’s really how your automation should be leveraged.
But I wanna leave you with this final thought, and I mentioned earlier in the video, nothing will ever replace the human touch.
A good automated system is gonna really focus on that balance of leveraging automation to create more human interaction.
When you have that, you have an extreme power in your business. So what I’d like to ask for you to do is if you have any thoughts, fears, concerns, positive experiences about automating your recruiting business,
I just want you to leave that in the comments below.
This is Donnie Gupton. Talk to you soon!
